This past August, Energy BBDO approached us about a Thanksgiving shoot for SC Johnson. It combined two of the things I love the most -- Thanksgiving and getting messy -- so it was a perfect fit. Because of the creative concepts at play, we encouraged the client to let us cast real families for the Thanksgiving scene, and then we filled in with professional talent for the other scenes where needed.

In addition to their campaign, they also decided to have us shoot a handful of images for use on social media. The ask was to illustrate just how messy the holidays can be. Of course having two little boys myself, mess is a regular part of my daily life. We had talent smearing dirt on windows for Windex, spilling on and under tables for Pledge and Shout, and making messes in the bathroom for Drano. All the social media shots accompanied a two day shoot with three conceptual scenarios.
